| After over 17k miles of somewhat severe driving the turbo is starting to show it's age. Relatively young from a production turbo stand point (OE install) this after market eBay kit has held up quite well for it's price. The turbo is still installed and working and still produces 10 – 11psi of boost at WOT. I am however noticing excessive oil spit in the charge piping. This problem was cured once with the installation of a valve to restrict oil pressure in the turbo,(Turbo oil supply line adjustable pressure regulation project) but is now back. With the current oil pressure of 10 – 15 psi there is not much I can do about it. The seals in the turbo are just worn and leaking. |
