2012 Chevy Cruze.. Next tuner car revolution?

So, I am in the market for a replacement for my 2003 Accord EX-L v6. Normally this would be another Honda product, however, my recent purchase of a 1986 Silverado has me feeling a little nostalgic since my first car was a 1985 Chevy Monte Carlo. I started looking into what else was available and I ran across the Chevy Cruze. 

Well the time is finally here!  I think..   I have started to tear down the engine in the 1999 Civic.  This car hasn't run in almost 2 years due to a spun bearing in the bottom end.  I have had new pistons, rods and rings here for a while waiting to go in.  Just have to find the time to pull the block and send it away for machining.
