Adding USB Charging ports (ON THE CHEAP!)
So I wanted to add some USB charge ports in the Caddy. My original plan was to install a 12v to 5v 15amp DC/DC converter on an ignition switched source, and then wire that up to 8 or so ports in various places inside the cabin. This is a great plan, and will work well, but I also saw the need for at least 2 ports that were full time (un switched). For these ports I decided to utilize a small USB charger I already had on hand. These can be picked up almost anywhere for $10 or so. Be careful though as some of the cheaper ones are only 500 - 1amp output max and will not charge two, or even one bigger device.

Shifter Bushing Replacement
The shifter bushings in nearly all period Cadillac CTS models with 6 speed transmissions have a tendency to go bad around 80 - 100k miles. I changed mine at 106k miles. I decided to go with Brass rather than any other material because its very hard yet wont wear the pin or lever. I will post a picture of the measurements I used.. I ended up having to still file a flat spot in each bushing so they would fit. If your going to turn some make them about 1/8" smaller.
Some header wrap.. I hope this kit is enough to do two long headers.. 50' but I am sure it goes fast... I will also get some high temp silicon spray paint to use before wrapping them.. advice?
Also two o2 bungs and plugs to weld in the exhaust for the LM-1 if I can get a good cord for it! Come on Innovate Motorsports! Come through for me!
1986 C10 5800 rpm exhaust note. I advanced timing to 36 all in, then changed distributor springs to lighter ones (black). Got a slight ping at high rpm. So I loosened the distributor and lost timing so I don't know what it was really at all.. all I could do was set it back to somewhere around 35* and see if that stops the ping. runs great otherwise.
